"I was trying so hard to unlock my car door to get my purse out, and then i realized that the windows were down and i could just reach in and get it"

Woo hoo! I'm blogging.
Anyways, what better way to start off my blog than to title it with some wise words from my roommate. I love her, but sometimes she just says the funniest things and I have to post it publicly.

Today is my last day of classes and then the weekend starts for me. So I get a 3 day weekend...lucky me!? no. I was stupid enough to take FOUR studio classes! So by Thursday I am so exhausted and behind on projects and I have 3 days to work/finish 4 projects. I just completed 4 projects the other week and now I'm working on 4 new ones. I will post up pictures of the previous ones once I get a chance to take a photo when I get them back.

But here is my project (well, pre-project) from 3-D class

We have to make a shoe out of wire. Obviously I'm not done but I used up all the free wire from my Professor. I'm too lazy to go out and buy more, but at least I got the hard part down. Making that frame was a pain in the..anyways, I should have a photo up of the final product on Sunday seeing as it is due on Monday. Then I have to actually start on my real project which is creating something that represents an animal, something from nature, or human....any ideas?? :)

So...for my 2D class we have to merge two images together. I had a really difficult time coming up with something. When we were in class Tuesday she went around the classroom and we had to hold ours up and explain why we chose it/whatever. Of course half of the class would do something classic like Mona Lisa...Audrey Hepburn..or Marilyn Monroe. I was the last person to go and I hold up a picture of Hitler....with a storm trooper head. I got a good response so I'm going to stick with it. I was afraid I was going to offend some people but no one seemed to have a problem with. Hopefully I can draw it...this will be interesting.

Computer in the Art we are working with Illustrator at the moment. With wanting to be a graphic designer...I must live on this program. But...I don't exactly like it. Maybe because the teacher doesn't like me and I just associate the program with her? I really don't know if she hates my guts but she acts like it. Maybe I don't really hate Illustrator but I just act like it?? Anyways, we had to sketch an image and scan it. I chose to draw my Lucha Key (NachooooOoo!) and use that as my vector art. OKAY, it's not the greatest, but I'm really slow with this program and it's confusing to me. But this is what I have so far...I should be done by thursday of next week. There is a gap on the top right because that's where the key ring is and I haven't put the hole in yet. There's just so much I still have to do with this...

OKAY, now Digital Photography class. I reallllly enjoy this class. I wasn't signed up for it at first but my parents wanted me to have 15 hours...it was either this class or weaving. Sorry baskets, but digital photography seems more useful for my major. No offense to basket weavers, i would love to do it...but just not right now. I need to catch up first then weave later. This is a picture I tweaked the other day..I took this picture of one of my really good friends, Lauren.

WHEW, okay. that's all my classes...except Art History. Which I have no pictures of. Actually, I could probably put a picture from this class but I will save it for another blog.

That's my art day/week/whatevvv. So now you guys know what I'm working on and why my days sound (will sound) boring/repetitive. Today I had to work on my Lucha Key and Hitler Storm Trooper. I'm already exhausted just thinking about it. But for the rest of the day, I think I am going to relax and watch a good movie. Last night my roommate (Alyssa) and I watched Pretty Woman (my first time watching it!) and I LOVE it. I can't believe I've never seen it. But then again I've never seen The Wizard of Oz...Peter Pan..and many more childhood favorites.

this blog is way too long.

I'm ending this now
:)
